Author: Amberholic It took a little while to register in Sally’s brain what the blonde was saying, since she was still too overwhelmed by Tara’s bold declaration. It wasn't Tara's nature at all; although she was a famous actress; Tara could never overcome her instinctive shyness or pluck up enough courage to ask somebody to be her date.... She was actually daring herself. "Tara, are you serious? " asked a very shocked Sally while she stared at the blonde in disbelief. " I mean you never ever got the nerve to make such a bold attempt." "Way to support a friend," muttered Anya to herself glaring fiercely at Sally. "Tara, don't get me wrong," continued Sally " I'll be thrilled to bits if you can win her heart but please be careful I don't want to see you heartbroken." Knowing how sensitive and easily hurt person Tara is she continued, "Because believe me she won't be exactly pleased if she ever knows that she was the subject of a bet." Tara was oblivious to the deadly glares between her two friends because she was still thinking about Sally's question 'is she serious..... ' In all honesty, the blonde couldn't care less about the bet; all her life she wanted to be loved but she has never really been interested in anyone.....But this redhead seemed to attract Tara in every sense of the word.....And why in the hell she would waste such an opportunity...Here she is sitting at the table, looking adorable and by God very very Sexy....... "Dead serious," Tara blurted out, with that she grabbed her bag and headed towards Willow's table. "Go girl," encouraged Anya sticking her tongue out at Sally. Sally just shook her head and looked at Anya. "Really Anya, aren't you concerned about Tara, what if she...." "Just stop!" interrupted Anya. "Don't you think she's mature enough to make her own choices. Besides Willow Rosenberg is such a sweet person." "But you said.....Hey you know her!?!" asked Sally "Kind of," Anya answered. "And what I said about Willow in front of Tara were bunch of lies." Sally looked very confused urging her to continue. "OK, OK..." said Anya, "in case you wonder and you are," smirked Anya, "Willow owns the most successful company of Computer Software in this country. Buffy who happens to be Willow's best friend and assistant was my friend in the university. After the graduation Buffy went missing until a few days ago I met her accidentally at the grocery store; so I invited her for a cup of coffee and we chatted." "And?" asked Sally. "Impatient aren't we?" giggled Anya. "Well we chatted about so many subjects... university...friends....until she told me that she works for Willow Rosenberg, the sweetest person ever.....Ok, you're going to ask me how did I know that, no?" asked Anya Sally only nodded. "While we were sipping our coffee, Willow stopped by to talk with Buffy about some meeting. I tell you this girl is a coffee addict..." "Anya!!!!" Sally said. "Not really the point " "Ok." answered Anya. "We chatted together and to my own surprise she wasn't anything like rude or disagreeable instead she was so friendly, sociable, outgoing......" "I get it Anya," said Sally, "but what i don't is why you have said that she was rude? " "Well you are so oblivious....Sometimes I wonder how did you manage to graduate! Did you see how Tara was looking at her, how she was daydreaming about her....For God sake we were talking with her for two minutes but nothing could bring her out of her reverie," exclaimed Anya. "And to be honest," continued Anya, "I find them very compatible, so I said those lies because I was so sure that Tara would be more than happy to prove me wrong." Sally was speechless unable to utter a single word. "And enough with your questions I want to watch my lovely couple." "You're unbelievable," answered a very stunned Sally. "Besides they aren't a couple yet!!!" "Believe me they will be," answered Anya. "And very soon..." |
