Willow Rosenberg grumbled to herself angrily as she sped past huge, millionaire mansions in her shiny silver 2003 Maserati Quattroporte. To say that the redhead was in a foul mood would have been a huge understatement; her vacation was cut short literally two minutes after it began. She had barely had time to call and cancel the arrangements for her vacation to Bali which shed been so looking forward to. She turned down a cobblestone driveway and drove into the circular driveway of a massive Victorian mansion. After parking her car she made her way up the stone steps to the oak door where she was ushered in by a young man dressed in a smart black suit.

"Mr. Giles will be down momentarily, Ms. Rosenberg." The man said politely.

"Thank you, Wade." Willow said smiling at him fondly. With a slight bow, Wade went back to his duties. A few minutes later Rupert Giles appeared with a worried frown on his face.

"I'm guessing this isn't a social call?" Willow said noticing the frown on her friends face.

"I'm afraid not, Willow." Giles said, removing his glasses and polishing vigorously. Placing his glasses back on, he looked at Willow curiously.

"Why do you insist on dressing like that?" He asked referring to the black slacks and white dress shirt she was wearing.

"Because it's more comfortable than dresses or skirts." Willow replied. "But I doubt you had me cancel my vacation to discuss my fashion sense."

"No, I didn't. And I'm very sorry about that, but we have a serious problem. Come, I'll tell you everything in my office." Giles said as he started walking. Silently they made their way to Giles' office.

Once inside, Giles walked over to his desk and pressed a small green button on a control panel. The book shelf on the wall behind him slid in and to the side to reveal a passage way just large enough for a full grown man to fit through. Without a word the two walked through the passage way. Minutes later they emerged into another room filled with different objects such as pens, sunglasses, watches, and other every day things placed in clear plastic cases on marble pedestals. Willow followed Giles to the far wall where a computer beeped noisily as it processed information.

"Now will you please tell me why I'm not lying on a beach in Bali right now?" Willow asked with a sigh.

"You know about the X-35 project correct?" Giles asked as he picked up a file from the desk.

"A toxin designed for chemical warfare. Kept in liquid form until activated, the fumes are inhaled and the poison enters the blood stream. Someone infected would die slowly and painfully. The poison acts through stages, those infected would show signs: nausea/vomiting, light headedness, increasingly painful headaches, bleeding of the ears and/or nose, black outs, weakness/fatigue, inability to move muscles, and finally brain death." Willow said.

"You do realize that you sound like a dictionary when you do that right?" Giles asked amused.

"I'm right though aren't I?" Willow asked somewhat irritated.

"Yes, you're right, Willow. It would seem that when the government ordered all of the X-35 destroyed, 13 vials were saved and hidden from the government. Details become sketchy after that, but a few weeks ago headquarters received a tip saying that Angelus Liam and his partner William Bloodman are in possession of those vials. Agent Bethany Stevens was sent to investigate the claims. Two days ago she sent an S.O.S and hasn't been heard from since. Headquarters wants you to take this mission." Giles said handing her the file he picked up earlier.

"This is information on a third party that might be of importance, Tara Maclay. She has been seen with William Bloodman quite frequently the last few days and might have something to do with the X-35 virus." He said as Willow opened the file. Inside was a profile, a detailed history, and some pictures of a beautiful young woman with honey blond hair, shy, azure blue eyes, and the sexiest half grin Willow had ever seen.
