Willow and Tara's A Midsummer Night's Dream
ACT FIVE, SCENE TWO

Author: Chris Cook
Rating: PG
Disclaimer: Based on characters from Buffy the Vampire Slayer created by Joss Whedon and his talented minionators, and A Midsummer Night's Dream by William Shakespeare.

SCENE, - The Town of MONTE ATHENA in Tuscany, and a Wood not far from it.

Outside the Palace of GILES.

[Enter DAWN, BUFFY, FAITH, and attendant Fairies. Buffy and Faith cast fairy-dusts over the Palace for good fortune to all those inside - even the Players making their way out the gate, towards their homes - and leave hand in hand. Exeunt all save Dawn.]

Dawn: If we shadows have offended,
Think but this - and all is mended -
That you have but slumber'd here
While these visions did appear.
And this weak and idle theme,
No more yielding but a dream,
Gentles, do not reprehend;
If you pardon, we will mend.
And, as I'm an honest sprite,
If we have unearned flight
Now to 'scape the serpent's tongue,
We will make amends ere long;
Else the Key a liar call;
So good night unto you all.
Give me your hands, if we be friends,
And Dawn shall restore amends.

[Exit.]
