Once upon a time, in a definitely not magical land, a young girl named Willow and her mom moved to Laguna Beach.

"Have a good first day, sweetie," Willow's mom said as she dropped her daughter off at Laguna High.

"Thanks mom," Willow said. "I'll try." As Willow was walking down the hallway she saw that most of the girls were snickering at her. But Willow wasn't looking where she was going, and she bumped into someone.

"I'm sorry," Willow said.

"It's ok. My name is Tara, you must be new here."

"How could you tell?" Willow asked.

"This school's only got one other red haired girl, and your definitely not her," Tara said. "Well, why don't I show you to your first period class?"

"I'd like that," Willow said.

"So where did you go to school before Laguna High?" Tara asked.

"I lived in Los Angeles," Willow said.

"Oh," Tara said, "I'd love to live there, that close to that many shoes... Well, here it is, Miss Brewster's first period math - not a good way to start your day."

"Yeah," Willow said. Just then a brunette ran up to Tara and asked what she was doing with one of them.

"Nothing, Cordy," Tara said. "I was just showing Willow here to her first period class."

"Come on," Cordy said, "I don't want to be seen with a redhead."

"What's wrong with redheads?" Willow asked.

"Where do I start?" Cordy said.

"I have to go," Tara said, "but I'll see you around, ok?"

"Ok," Willow said. Oh yeah, this year's going to be great. Willow walked into the classroom and saw another redheaded girl with glasses reading a book.

"Finally!" the girl said. "Another redhead. My name is Trista."

"I'm Willow... Are you the only redhead in the whole school."

"Well," Trista said, "not anymore, since you're here. Why dont you come sit with me and my friends at lunch, you look like you could use a friend or two."

"Thanks," Willow said. So at lunch Willow found Trista.

"Hi," Trista said. "The guy on the left of me is Lone."

"Lone," Willow asked, "is that your real name?"

"Yes," Lone said. "I'm named after my grandpa, Lone Wolf."

"On the right," Trista said, "the dark haired girl is Amy Lee, and the blonde's name is Harmony. Amy here, she's in a band.

"Yeah," Amy said, "we just can't figure out a name... it has to have the word 'evan' in it though, 'cause that's what my parents were going to name me..."

"How about Evanescence," Lone asked.

"That's it," Amy said. "Lone, you're a genius."

"As for me," Harmony said, "I'm a vampire slayer."

"I thought you weren't going to tell anybody?" Trista said.

"Don't worry," Harmony said. "If she tells anyone else, we can kill her." Everybody started laughing, but Willow wasn't sure if Harmony meant it or not.
