Kennedy held a clipboard in her arm and went over what her girls would be wearing for this editions photo shoot. After checking off the list, she looked up to notice that a few of her girls were missing.
"Amy, where's Erica, Nancy, Jamie, and Alison?" asked a rather pissed off designer as she held her clipboard to her chest.
"There with Tara," Amy answered, never looking up from her the Maxium magazine she was looking at.
"Who?" Kennedy coughed out in irritation.
"Tara! The new fashion designer. Willow hired her today," answered Cordelia looking over Amy's shoulder at the magazine.
"You know if you two are having a little tif," said a blonde also trying to get a peek at one of the half naked lady's on the magazine spread, "do you think you can put in a good word to Willow for me. I would so like to go a round with that," she liked her lips as she looked up at Kennedy.
"What!" she yelled as she grabbed the magazine out of Amy's hand and stormed out of the room down to Willow's office.
Throwing the magazine that was clutched in her hand onto the floor, Kennedy barged into Willow's office without knocking. "What the fuck do you think your doing?"
"Good to see you to. You do realize that you still need to knock right," said Willow looking pointedly at the brunette, "after all I still am your boss."
"Why did you hire a new fashion designer?" snarled Kennedy as she walked closer to the redheads desk.
"That is none of your business," retorted Willow leaning back in her black leather chair, folding her arms behind her head.
"Bullshit," yelled Kennedy, slamming her hands down on the wood desk. Leaning forward, face red "why?"
"Because your spending to much time with Amy, I didn't think you would have time to do anything else.... but her," total shock crossed Kennedy's face "now Kennedy your lucky I'm not firing you and hiring her all together. So now please leave my office."
Red faced, fist clenched, and shaking, Kennedy made her way to the door.
"O' and Kennedy......we're through. You have until tomorrow night to get your shit out of my house." said Willow "have a nice day." she smiled then spun her chair around so it was facing the window.
Once the door closed with an audible click she spun herself back around, picked up the phone and called Buffy.
"I did it! I did it! I did it!" she screamed into the receiver, to the person on the other line. With in minutes Buffy was in Willow's office, out of breath, panting, and bent over at the waist gasping for air.
"Did what?" she wheezed out.
"I broke up with her. I told her to get her shit out of my house. I did it!" she yelled, rapping Buffy in a hug.
"O' my god Will, you know what this means right?" said Buffy excitedly.
"More sleeping room?" guessed Willow as she chewed on her lip.
"Uh no, were going to the Bronze!" Buffy jumped up and down in excitement. "Tonight we're going and you're going to meet a nice girl. One who's sophisticated and if not I'm gonna find you a one night stand." laughed Buffy as she walked out of her Bosses office.
'But I already have my eyes set on a nice sophisticated girl' pouted Willow putting her head down on her desk.
3pm that afternoon Buffy walked into Willow's office to see her furiously typing away at her computer.
"Hey," she called out softly as to not scare the hacker, even though she still jumped. "I got a hold of Xander and told him to meet us at the Bronze at 9:30. He's gonna stop by Anya's first so he might be a little late." she said with a grin.
"What about Tara?" asked Willow hoping the beautiful blonde can come.
"Uhh...I wasn't sure if you wanted her to come or not? Buffy said.
"Of course I want her to come. She's one of us now. Plus she's your cousin," grinned Willow.
"Alright I'll ask her."
"It's alright I'll ask her. I have to go to her office and give her a schedule for tomorrow anyways," said Willow as she stood from her desk and made her way to the door.
A knock reverberated of the hard oak door.
"Come in," came a soft feminine voice from inside the room.
"Uh...hey Tara, I got the schedule for tomorrow," said Willow a tad bit nervous. She hesitated before walking over to the blonde and handing her the papers. "Um...I was wondering...."
"Yeah?" Tara smiled, giving the redhead some confidence.
"Well a couple of us are going to the Bronze tonight and..... Buffy would like to know if you would like to come," she mentally slapped herself over and over again , not believing she wimped out. 'I can't believe I just did that, you totally blew your chance.'
"What time?" asked the blonde her smile some what disappearing.
"9:30" said the redhead as she rung her hands together in a nervous manner.
"Well tell Buffy I might be a little late," Tara said almost coldly as she started cleaning up her desk.
"Um, yea. Ok bye," Willow made a hasty retreat out of the blondes office and to her own.
The group had been at the club for about two hours. After the first half hour everybody went their own way, some dancing, some talking to others at the club and some straight to the bar.
"Wooohooo I'm single," shouted Willow as she slurped down another shot of Gin and Tonic. Spinning around on her bar stool she noticed Tara walking towards the back table occupied by Buffy and Anya. "Xander I'll be right back," she said taking off towards the blonde.
"Hey Tara," she greeted the blonde with a big smile. "I was wondering if you would care to dance."
"Uh..." replied Tara a little startled by the redhead. She had been making her way back to their table from the dance floor when she suddenly came out of nowhere.
Before Tara could even answer, a pair of arms rapped around her waist, "hey babe," said the silky voice behind her as kisses where placed on her cheek. "Sorry it took me so long to get here. Finding the place was a real bitch," she smiled "plus you know, Em loves when I kiss her good night."
Looking straight ahead the newcomer noticed the dejected looking redhead. "O' I'm sorry, I'm being rude," sticking out her hand for a shake "I'm Faith."
"Willow," looking down with total disappointment, not at the blonde and the fact that she has someone but the fact that she can't be Tara's someone. "I'll see you later," she says before spinning around and walking away, probably back towards the bar for a heavy drink.
