Author: Crimson Vampire Goddess A hand on her shoulder startled Jennifer and she spun around nearly knocking Sebastian back into the pool. "Oh, Sebastian, I'm sorry; you gave me a fright." "I'm sorry, Jen, but I kind of wanted to talk to you." He said nervously. "Alone, if you wouldn't mind." He added noticing that both girls were looking at him expectantly. "Okay, I'll see you both at dinner then, bye." Christina said as she turned to walk back into the hotel. "Come on, let's go for a walk." Sebastian said quietly as soon as Christina had disappeared into the hotel. "Sebastian, it's getting dark and I'm freezing, can't we talk inside preferably by a warm fire?" Jennifer said looking to the darkened patch of forest Sebastian was heading towards. "It'll only take a few minutes and, here, you can use my towel too." Sebastian said holding out the towel to her. "Oh, alright." She sighed as she started walking towards him. After a few minutes of walking in silence Sebastian stopped suddenly causing Jennifer to walk into his back. "Sebastian?!" She said a little annoyed. "I...I have a confession to make, Jen, but I don't know how you'll react or even how to tell you or if I should tell you at all." Sebastian said keeping his head down, his eyes glued to the dirt path beneath him. Unsure what was going on in her friend's head, Jennifer decided to wait for him to continue and remained silent. "For a long time you and Chris have been my best friends and we've grown very close to each other. Over the last year I've been feeling things...at first I past it off as a phase, that I'd grow out of it. The thing is these feelings never went away, they grew stronger and now I can't deny them any more..." He paused to look at Jen for a reaction to what he'd just said; to see if she'd caught on. Jen looked at him slightly confused her mind going through the possible meanings behind his words. "Jennifer, I love you, I'm in love with you." Jennifer was shocked. Out of all the things she thought he might say that was by far the most unexpected. Her jaw worked soundlessly as she tried to process what he'd just said. She looked up to see him looking hopefully at her his stance reminding her of a little boy who'd got caught with his hand in the cookie jar. "Sebastian, I..." She started but stopped to compose herself. Taking a deep breath she spoke. "Sebastian, I do love you but not like that; you've always been like a brother to me. I...I'm seeing some one and this person makes me very happy. I hope you understand." She said gently. "Do you love him?" Sebastian sighed sadly. "Yes, I am very much in love with her." Jennifer said a hint of a smile playing across her face at a fond memory. "HER?!" "Yes, her." Jennifer said raising an auburn brow as if daring him to say something about it. When he said nothing and just looked at her in shock she nodded and turned to make her way back to the hotel. A few hours later Jennifer walked through the forest until she came to a small meadow cast in moonlight. A little farther out she could see a blanket laid out with a large basket and a few unlit candles set up on it. Walking over she fished out a book of matches from within the basket and knelt down to light the candles. As she finished lighting the last candle she found herself enveloped in loving arms. "This is wonderful, love." Christina whispered softly. "Not as wonderful as you." Jennifer said turning in her lover's arms to kiss her passionately. Both women moaned as the kiss deepened. Forgetting the basket and the food stored inside, Christina moved so she was lying on her back pulling Jennifer with her. "It's been far too long, love." Christina managed to get out between ragged breaths as Jennifer tore off her shirt and under garments to gain better access to her heaving breasts. Within moments the two lovers were entwined naked limbs groaning in pleasure. So wrapped up in each other neither noticed a figure watching them from the dark forest. At first Sebastian couldn't believe what he was seeing. The love of his life and his best friend...no it couldn't be true, it couldn't. Tears fell down his cheeks as his disbelief turned into pain and he began to sob. His pain, however, soon turned into jealousy and anger and as his emotions boiled something within him snapped. Looking back out at the two women in the meadow his eyes hardened and his tears ceased flowing as the emotions within him exploded. The two lovers made their way back to the hotel, laughing and holding hands. When they reached the pool area Jennifer stopped dead, her eyes wide and seemingly unable to be torn from the sight in front of them. Confused, Christina followed her lover's gaze over to just outside the back door of the hotel. "Did you two enjoy yourselves?" Sebastian asked casually as he stepped closer to the two startled women. The girls couldn't take their eyes off of the large knife Sebastian held in his right hand the cold metal glinting in the moonlight. "Sebastian, are you okay?" Jennifer asked cautiously, taking a step back, pulling Christina behind her, as he got closer. "I will be." He said his eyes and tone emotionless. "You are going to make it better." He said pointing to Jennifer with the knife, a cruel smile contorting his usually kind features. Sebastian had forced the lovers to walk back to the "picnic" area and was now circling them as a hunter would circle their prey sizing them up as he went. "I love you, Jennifer, so I'm going to give you a choice. Choice one: you make love to me tonight and agree to marry me and be my wife and you both live. Choice two: You refuse choice one and I force you both to make love to me before I kill you." He said in a chillingly calm tone. "Sebastian, I can't marry you, I don't love you." Jennifer said pleadingly. "I DON'T CARE!" He bellowed anger flashing in his eyes. "YOU WILL MARRY ME!" "THE HELL SHE WILL!" Christina shouted back before a slap sent her tumbling to the ground. "YOU! YOU STOLE HER FROM ME! SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN MINE HAD YOU NOT INTERVIENED!" Sebastian lost it and grabbed hold of Christina by the hair pulling her up to face him. "Now you'll both pay." He growled. Bringing the knife up, he cut the sleeves from her blouse. The long sleeves were then used to tie her hands and then with a swift leg sweep he grabbed her legs and tied them as well all the while keeping his eye on Jennifer to make sure she didn't try something stupid. Satisfied that the bonds would hold he stood and repeated his actions with a struggling Jennifer. "Well, now, ladies, who goes first?" Sebastian practically growled looking down at the two struggling women. "I think Chris needs to learn her lesson first, and then we'll have all the time in the world for just us, Jen, my love." He said dragging Christina up by her hair. Pulling her a little farther out into the meadow, he threw her to the ground before straddling her. "Oh, feeling a little feisty tonight are we?" He sneered as she struggled against him. "Don't worry, Chris, it's not that bad; in fact you'll probably be surprised at how good a man can make you feel, you might not want to go back to screwing girls." He laughed with a devilish grin as he roughly shoved his hand up what was left of her top. His touch made her stomach turn and it was then that her fear took over. She screamed as loud as she could hoping someone anyone would hear her. "SHUT UP!" Sebastian shouted bringing the knife up above his head. Her screams grew louder as the knife plunged downward towards her chest. Silence fell over the meadow as the last scream died on her lips and her once struggling body went limp. All was still for a moment as Sebastian stood calmly and turned towards Jennifer who lay only a few yards away; her eyes as large as saucers and still locked on the unmoving figure of her lover. "We'll I suppose it's just you and me now, Jen." Sebastian said with a twisted smile and no hint of remorse. Repeating his earlier actions he dragged Jennifer by the hair and threw her down next to Christina's body. Having secretly been slowly loosening the knots around her legs, Jennifer struggled to her feet before he had the chance to hold her down and stood directly in front of the monster that had once been like a brother to her. "Well, now, does this mean you're going to play nice?" Sebastian asked in a cocky tone. Jennifer thought a moment before nodding. Pleased with her answer, Sebastian cut the bonds from her arms. Removing the makeshift gag from her mouth Jennifer turned to Christina's body. Kneeling down she gently traced the delicate features she knew so well before running her fingers down over her eyelids bringing them down to cover empty sightless eyes. Sebastian watched the display with obvious disgust before he'd had enough and pulled Jennifer back up. "So, you'll do as I ask?" Sebastian asked looking at her with an almost feral gaze. "I'll do part of what you said you would do." She replied before quickly grabbing the knife from his grip. "You took what I loved most, Sebastian, it holds fair that I return the favor." She said calmly before burying the knife to the hilt in her chest. "NO!" Sebastian roared as he rushed forward to stop her but it was too late where moments ago only one body lay now there were two. "I WILL HAVE YOU YET, JENNIFER, YOU JUST WAIT!" Sebastian shouted at the corps. "You'll see." He whispered to himself as he drew the knife from its gory sheath. Whispering words in a language long forgotten he cut a line across Jennifer's wrist then dug a small hole in his own with the tip of the blade burying a few drops of Jennifer's blood beneath his own skin he then cut a line across Christina's wrist and again buried the tip beneath his own flesh. "Now, you both are bound to me. Your spirits are trapped in this world as long as I am in it." He yelled around him as he staggered back slightly drained from the curse. Taking the knife in his other hand he drew a deep line across his wrist. Again he began to whisper in the ancient language as he let his blood run and soak into the earth beneath him. "And now I'll be in it until I can find a way to bring you back and force you to marry me! And as for you, Christina, you will watch as she says "I do"; after all she will need a maid of honor!" He laughed manically as he staggered towards the hills. Bleeding profusely he barely made it to a small cave before passing out. When he woke he found his wounds to be completely healed only two red tear drops signified were he'd taken Jennifer and Christina's blood into himself. Laughing he lighted the end of a branch and wondered deeper into the cave finding it to be very deep indeed. He didn't know how long he had wondered the dark cavern but he estimated it to be a while judging by how thirsty he'd become. Finally he came upon a large lake. Kneeling down he drank greedily from it before his eyes beheld a chilling sight: himself. His features no longer resembled a human instead he stared into the black eyes of a reptile. Jumping up he twisted and turned looking at him self. The entirety of his body with the exception of the one arm was covered with green scales and a tail now swayed powerfully behind him. His hands had turned to claws and his feet like those of a giant iguana. Looking back into the mirrored surface of the lake he noted his head was that of a lizard. Sticking his tongue out he saw it resembled a snakes tongue and was a bit surprised to learn he could smell with it! Looking around again he found himself a nice little space to sleep. When he awoke he set to work fixing up his new home. A few nights later he wondered back to the mouth of the cave and sat on the hillside looking out over the empty meadow. "One day, Jennifer, one day I'll have you back." |
